Airplane Edit Must Have Beauty Essentials

Over the course of the year, I started to notice the horrible conditions flying had on my skin. So in these last couple of months, I have been trying out many beauty products to find what made my skin feel more healthy and hydrated.

I’m happy to say I have finally narrowed down my favorite go-to beauty products that I now use every time I fly.

See below my favorite ‘must-have’ travel beauty essentials and why it’s super important to take care of your skin when flying.

Ready to transform your in-flight beauty routine? Don’t miss my go-to travel beauty essentials for your next trip!

Hydrating Sheet Mask

This was a game-changer for me. I never used to bring a mask and now I don’t leave without one.

There is never a better time to relax and enjoy a face mask than on a plane.

I’ll be honest you might feel a little awkward at first and people might give you strange looks. But trust me it will leave your skin feeling super refreshed and hydrated which is totally worth it.

This hydrating sheet mask by Glam Up is super nice but any hydrating sheet mask will do.

Lip balm

This is my number one beauty item. I cannot travel without a medicated lip balm.

I tend to get dry lips when flying so having a medicated lip balm gives me that extra hydration than the regular ones do.

You can certainly go for any lip balm you like. Burts Bees is good but my go-to is the medicated by Blistex

Facial mist

This is more an extra item. I tend to give myself a little spritz every now & then when I’m feeling a little dry.

It’s also a refreshing wake me up after a nap on the plane.

I love the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra Fine Mist with hyaluronic acid and hibiscus

Hand cream

I carry a hand lotion everywhere I go. I feel after a while of always washing my hands they can start to feel a little dry so having a mini moisturizer in my bag is certainly handy.

My favorite hand cream at the moment is the Glossier Hand Cream. What I love about this cream is that it’s super hydrating and small enough to throw in my carry-on.

Another awesome thing I love about Glossier is the free pink pouches you get when you purchase a product, perfect for holding all your beauty travel essentials.

Rollerball perfume / Travalo

Every now and then I will throw in a rollerball perfume or I’ll take my mini Travalo perfume atomizer.

It lets you refill directly from your own perfume bottle. It’s leakproof and TSA approved so perfectly for flying.

You can find these almost anywhere, I got mine here.

Mouthwash & toothpaste

I’m sure most of you bring these anyway as a staple but I find it super important to have mouthwash & toothpaste with you, especially during a long-haul flight.

Facial wipes

I highly recommend removing your makeup before you fly. I pretty much never wear makeup before flying and if I do I will take it off before I board.

I usually use the Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes and they work a treat.

Super refreshing and it removes any dirt grime you’ve got goin’ on.

SPF moisturizer

My favorite moisturizer at the moment is the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream with SPF 30. My friend introduced this to me and now I take it everywhere.

It’s super hydrating and of course, has SPF which is important to have, as you are still being exposed to UV rays when flying in the air with the window shade open.

Water bottle

Now I know this isn’t a beauty product but it’s certainly essential.

There is no better way to hydrate your skin than to drink loads of water.

Taking an empty water bottle and then refilling once you’re through security is defiantly a money saver and handy to have with you.

Mini deodorant

Definitely, a must-have item when on the go! I love the travel size deodorant by Dove, complete with 48hr protection and natural moisturizing oils.

Dry shampoo

Shake off jetlagged hair with some super Dry Shampoo, throw in a few spritzes here and there to soak up your natural hair oils for a much cleaner hair look.

Crystal nail file

Shape and smooth your nails with a crystal nail file. Made to be much smoother and lighter on the nails and also helps reduce splitting and breakage.

Hair bobbles

The ultimate beauty essential, hair bobbles! No carry-on bag is complete without a few hair bobbles thrown in.

I love these ones from Invisibobble, perfect for on the road.

Overall I’m pretty basic when it comes to beauty and skincare. I like to keep things simple and not over pack items I don’t need.
